New for 2023 – Cross-League Competition !!!

This year we are introducing a cross-league competition. In short, the member that ends up with the most “Adjusted Points” will win the coveted CHILI BOWL and the member with the least “Adjusted Points” will receive the much needed TOILET BOWL. You will be able to see where you stand throughout the season by clicking on the “Overall Standings” at the top of the page ( side of the page if you are on your phone ).

What are “Adjusted Points”?

Because not all leagues have the same number of members it is possible for members of a league to have a different number of NFL teams. For example, a team that has 6 members would have 5 NFL teams, while a team with 8 members would have 4 NFL teams. This would result in a different number of points being awarded each week. To correct for this each member’s total points will be divided by the number of NFL teams they have, and this will be the number used to determine a member’s place in the overall standings. We call this the Adjusted Points.

Finally, the winner of each league will win the Chowder Bowl and the loser will win the Ty D Bowl.

What is One-Click Fantasy Football?

The basic difference between One-Click Fantasy Football and regular fantasy football is that in One-Click Fantasy Football you get to “own” complete NFL teams, as opposed to individual players. Without going into the boring details, a league member will win the championship if all of the NFL teams that member owns and starts have more total wins than any other league member’s teams.

That sounds simple

It sounds simple, but in reality, because of the parity of the NFL, it is very difficult to predict full season winners. Also, there is a twist, the team with the fewest total wins can also win. Yes, you can win by losing.

Win by losing ? That sounds ridiculous. How does that work? What are the basic rules?

The basic rules are very simple.

a. The website holds an auto-draft for your league (The league managers sets the time.). Depending on the number of members you can get as few as 3 NFL teams to as many as 8. Great news you don’t have to worry about that. The website knows how many teams you should get and does all the work.

b. After the draft is completed the only thing that you need to do is to pick which one of the teams you have to not count in the scoring for the upcoming week. We call that the team you SIT. (One click, and you are done.)

c. 2021 – New SIT Team Rule. For 2021 you will not be allowed to SIT the same team 2 weeks in a row.

d. What happens if I do not sit a team? The Computer will automatically SIT a team for you, but you should know the computer will try to SIT the team it thinks will not help you.

What if I don’t like my teams?

Assuming you want to do it, there is a trade function. You simply select the team you want to trade, and the computer gives you a list of teams you can request a trade for (there are parameters to keep the game competitive). You click the make the trade button and wait. The person you want to trade with will receive the request and they can either say yes or no. If they do nothing the trade will time out after 48 hours. Note: you only get the points a team earns after the trade is complete; you do not get the pointes already earned.

So how do I get points?

In short you get points if the teams you play win and you lose points if they lose. In addition, each quarter of the game is like a mini game. You get points for winning a quarter and you lose points for losing a quarter. Scoring is as follows: 2 points for each quarter won, minus 1 point for each quarter lost, 1 point awarded if a quarter is tied, 4 additional points if you win the entire game, an additional 2 points subtracted if you lose the entire game, an additional 1 point if it ends in a tie.

For Example: Your team wins the 1st quarter, loses 2nd and 3rd quarter, wins the 4th quarter and wins the game. In that case you would get +2, -1, -1, +2,+4 for 6 total points

Does that sound complicated? Don’t worry, after the week is over you can click on your teams and you will see exactly how you earned your points.

So how do I start playing?

First you need to register after that there are 2 ways to start playing

a. The best and most fun way is to form a league with people you know. To do this all you need to know is their email addresses. You click the form a league link and follow the instructions. If you make your league public then people you don’t know can be assigned to your league. This can be helpful if you only have a few people you know who want to join.

b. If you simply want to play you can click the link to assign you to a league.

What happens if there is tie or bye?

If a game ends in a tie each team gets 1 point (in addition to the points earned for each quarter). If you play a team on a bye you automatically get 3 points.

OK – so how do I win?

There are three (3) ways to win in leagues with 8 or more members.

a. First place goes to the member that gets the most points (60% of the pot)

b. Second place goes to the member that gets the least points (30% of the pot)

c. c. Third place goes to the member that gets the second most points (10% of the pot)

In leagues with less than 8 members:

a. First place goes to the member that gets the most points (60% of the pot)

b. b. Second place goes to the member that gets the least points (40% of the pot)

c. There is no third place.

What do I win?

Immortal fame and glory. Of course, your league could always put some money in a pot and split as described above.

What is the difference between a Public and a Private league?

It’s simple, in a Private league only the league manager can invite or accept members. In a public league the Site can assign anyone who requests to be assigned to a league. However, if you create a Private league, but can’t seem to fill it you can always make it Public and the Site will fill it for you.
